“Looking like Missy Elliott in ’97” is the fan reaction to D’Angelo Russell’s puffy jacket, which garnered more attention than his two points in the Lakers’ loss to the Bulls.’
Despite playing all 28 minutes, D’Angelo Russell was unable to score a single point in Wednesday’s loss to the Chicago Bulls. His clothing, rather than his lackluster performance, was the night’s most talked-about topic.
An Instagram user going by the handle “leaguefits” shared a photo of Russell making his way into Chicago’s United Center. His outerwear consisted of a puffy jacket and puffer leggings. A pair of black boots were also part of his wardrobe.
Fans may have forgotten (or at least ignored) Russell’s 2-point performance that night as they criticized the LA Lakers player for his eccentric Instagram outfit.
Although the puffy jacket was cool, one supporter thought the puffer pants were the real show-stoppers.
“forget a puffer jacket, where y’all puffer pants at?,” remarked an admirer.
Still another admirer was not shy about giving Russell’s outfit a low score.
A fan gave the rating of “4.5/10.”
One of the spectators brought attention to the low scoring output by Lakers player Russell in the game against the Chicago Bulls.

An ardent supporter did more than just dislike the ensemble. “We are annoying,” the supporter responded.
Two spectators were very vocal about their disapproval of Russell’s missed fit.
“It’s а miss.””Fit аin’t SҺit.”
Someone made a wonderful joke about how Russell looked like Missy Elliot from 1997’s Supa Dupa Fly album and ridiculed him for it.

Russell shot 0-for-4 from beyond the three-point line and 1-for-6 from the field, good for just two points. In addition to his two receptions, he pulled down one board.
Lakers Make a Serious Push for D’Angelo Russell Trade
Recent sources indicate that the Lakers have been making moves to trade for D’Angelo Russell. According to Jovan Buha and Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic, the Lakers are open to trading Zach LaVine for Russell, but they might not be ready to give much more than that.

The Lakers have not been dragging their feet in an effort to acquire LaVine, whose value has dropped in the market, as of late.
The Lakers may have to reorganize their roster more than they anticipate if they trade for Zach LaVine, as they will likely lose more players than they anticipate.
After winning the in-season tournament, the Lakers find themselves in a precarious position in their last few games. It is not that LeBron James and Anthony Davis are underperforming; they have just lost three games in a row.
They really must acquire a third оutstanding оffensive player, similar tо LaVine. But will they reоrganize the rоster tо accоmmоdate LaVine?
